January 2025 - New feature unlocked for the Gen 2 Rings
In addition to the car key, you can now use the ring for link sharing. You can add any website, social media link, or custom URL to the ring. Once saved, tapping the ring on an NFC-enabled smartphone instantly opens the link. It is also possible to add a digital business card by using third-party apps that generate shareable links. Another reason why the cnick ring is one of the most popular and convenient Tesla accessories.
For Australian Users: How to Set Up Your CNICK Ring
Due to banking restrictions, Australia isn’t listed in the CNICK app’s country selection. But don’t worry — you can still use your ring to share a website, business card, or other NFC features.
Here’s how:
Download the CNICK app from the App Store or Google Play (just like in the video tutorial)
When asked to select your country, choose United Kingdom or Germany (this won’t affect non-payment features).
Skip any prompts to set up a wallet or bank card.
Go to “Add Feature” and select “URL”.
Enter the website you’d like your ring to open.
Tap your ring to your phone when prompted to complete setup.
That’s it! Your CNICK ring is now ready to share your link via a simple tap.
